ProRun — AI-Powered Marathon Discovery & Hosting Platform Inspiration
Finding the right marathon can be surprisingly difficult for runners. Most marathon listings online are fragmented, outdated, or lack personalization. Beginners often don’t know which races match their fitness level, while organizers struggle with participant engagement, event visibility, and promotion.
I wanted to build a platform that makes marathon participation more intelligent, personalized, and visually engaging.
That idea became ProRun — an AI-powered marathon ecosystem where runners discover marathons tailored to their fitness profile while organizers can create and manage events effortlessly using AI tools.
What it does
ProRun is a modern sports-tech SaaS platform built for both marathon participants and organizers.
For Runners Discover marathons worldwide Receive AI-powered marathon recommendations Get personalized preparation insights Track registered marathons View race-day weather forecasts Explore events based on fitness level, location, and goals For Organizers Create and manage marathon events Generate AI-powered event posters Monitor registrations and analytics Manage event details from a premium dashboard
The platform combines AI recommendations, weather intelligence, and futuristic UI design into one seamless experience.
How I built it
ProRun was built entirely using MeDo and its AI-powered development workflow.
Instead of traditional development, I used conversational prompts and iterative design generation to rapidly build and refine the platform.
I focused heavily on:
Premium UI/UX Sports-tech aesthetics AI-powered workflows Interactive dashboards Responsive design Smooth animations and glassmorphism effects
The platform uses MeDo skills including:
🤖 Large Language Model
Used for:
AI marathon recommendation engine Personalized race suggestions Fitness-aware recommendations 🌦️ Weather Inquiry
Used for:
Race-day weather forecasts Smart preparation insights Weather-aware marathon information 🎨 Image Generation
Used for:
AI-generated marathon posters Promotional visuals Dynamic event branding The most impressive feature
The most exciting feature is the AI Marathon Recommendation Engine.
Users enter:
fitness level weight running experience preferred distance goals location
The AI then analyzes the profile and recommends the most suitable marathons along with preparation guidance and difficulty matching.
This transforms marathon discovery from simple browsing into a personalized AI experience.
Another standout feature is the AI Poster Generator, where organizers can instantly create visually striking marathon banners and promotional assets using AI.
Challenges I ran into
One of the biggest challenges was balancing ambitious features with hackathon time constraints.
I initially wanted to build many advanced features, but I learned that focusing on:
polished UI smooth user flows strong AI integration premium presentation
creates a much stronger product experience.
Another challenge was designing a futuristic sports-tech interface that felt energetic while remaining clean and easy to use.
What I learned
This project taught me how powerful AI-assisted development can be for rapidly building and iterating full-stack application ideas.
I also learned:
how important storytelling and UX are in hackathons how AI can enhance personalization in fitness applications how conversational development tools like MeDo can dramatically accelerate product creation What's next for ProRun
Future plans include:
live marathon tracking runner communities training plans wearable integrations AI-powered coaching leaderboard systems organizer monetization tools social sharing features
The goal is to evolve ProRun into a complete AI-powered ecosystem for marathon runners and organizers worldwide.
