We were driven by the chaos engineering teams face during bidding—tight deadlines, endless revisions, and missed details costing deals. Watching talented engineers drown in paperwork sparked an idea: what if Salesforce could automate the grunt work and amplify their expertise? The rise of Agentforce and Data Cloud felt like the perfect springboard to streamline bids and win more projects.

We discovered that AI can extract insights from proposals faster than humans, but it’s not flawless—context matters. Pairing automation with SME wisdom was key. We also learned Salesforce’s ecosystem is a goldmine; its Knowledge Base and Quip integration turned scattered data into a strategic asset. Patience was a lesson too—iterating takes time.

We harnessed Salesforce Agentforce to convert uploaded bids into RAG files via Data Cloud, vectorizing them for analysis. Agentforce then generates Q&As, which SMEs (our BidXperts) refine using a Knowledge Base of past bids. We tied it all together with Quip exports for seamless collaboration and customer clarity.

Training Agentforce to grasp bid nuances was tough—generic AI tripped over jargon. Syncing real-time SME feedback with the Knowledge Base stretched our integration skills. And convincing teams to trust AI over manual habits? That was a cultural hurdle we’re still climbing.
