Inspiration
Help people
What it does
Allows people to breath
How I design it
With pneumatic parts or DIY parts
Challenges I ran into
Find parts outside the medical and available at home for the DIY device
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Do it in 2 weeks and find a 0 cost device
What I learned
Medical mechanical ventilator concept
What's next for HELP
Validate, simulate, give the parameters
Help needed:
1/ Simulate the first device (pneumatic parts) with human lungs model and with true pneumatic parts.
2/ Calculate the parameters of the 2nd concept (DIY) and give an Excel (or other format) file to allow people to build easily the device, people can enter some parameters of parts they have (because it is another country, with second parts, etc.) and the Excel file give the size, force of the spring, etc.
3/ Create the App on Android to read the data from usb, to take the parameters of the device, draw the profile of pressure in real time, display the data, save statistics.
4/ Simulate the possibility of place 2 pressure regulator of gases in parallel and see how it is possible to adjust the level of O2. It is not a priority because the device can work with 100% of O2 but it could help.
5/ Choose the best parts for the electronic interface, the best availability.
6/ Test the devices in a labs with labs sensors.
