Inspired by prediction markets in finance and sports, we set out to build Prophet—a platform that lets fans and industry insiders forecast the next big event before it happens.

What It Does

Prophet is a prediction market for the music industry. Users can place bets on future events—like “Will an artist boycott the Grammys in 2025?”—with live odds that update dynamically. By aggregating collective insights, Prophet turns speculation into real-time market data, giving users a new way to engage with industry trends.

How We Built It

We developed Prophet using:

Backend: Python & Flask for API handling, PostgreSQL for data storage
Frontend: React with TailwindCSS for a sleek, intuitive UI
Machine Learning: Trend analysis models trained on social media and industry data
Smart Contracts: (Planned) Blockchain integration for decentralized betting
