Inspiration
The inspiration for PropertyPlotMap stemmed from the undeniable buzz and rapid transformation happening right here in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
What it does
The idea was to create a "command center" for anyone dealing with property in PCMC – from an individual looking for their first home to a seasoned investor eyeing the next big development, and even real estate professionals seeking a competitive edge
How we built it
The core would be built upon Google Maps API. This provides the interactive map interface, geocoding capabilities (converting addresses to coordinates), and routing functionalities.
Challenges we ran into
*Real estate data in India, especially at a granular level, often lacks uniformity and can be inconsistent. Merging data from disparate sources, handling missing fields, and ensuring data accuracy would be a constant battle. *
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As an observer of data trends, I've noticed the exponential growth in infrastructure, the influx of businesses, and the increasing demand for both residential and commercial properties.
What we learned
Real estate data is messy and comes from diverse sources. Learning how to effectively pull, clean, and standardize this information was paramount.
What's next for PropertyPlotMap
Potentially allowing users to add points of interest or local insights. All this raw data would then be cleaned, standardized, and stored in a robust database.
