Inspiration

Who doesn't like to be a property owner that can make consistent rental income? Buying and selling a property is easy, but managing property is a pain point for most people. Therefore I develop a property management system to help owner scale their property portfolio.

What it does

There are four major parts in the system which include people, properties, leasing, maintenance. In short this system help owner to better manage their tenants, units, tenancy agreements, tenant requests etc...

How I built it

This system core framework is NextJS with the combination AWS Amplify, MongoDB, Chakra UI and many more...

Challenges I ran into

Since I was participating in solo, the project was shorthanded and I overestimated my ability to build it within the submission period. I wasn't able to deliver all the features that I planned in this hackathon, but I will continue to finish the project as one of my portfolio. It is also my first time experiencing AWS Amplify which took me few days to research and study.

What I've learned

What I've learnt in this project is that AWS Amplify is a great starting point for a software project, I will definitely look forward into this tools and continue utilising it in my career.

What's next for Property Management System

I will continue building this system and try to seek for a buyer or potential investor to bring this system to live, I think this is a tremendous tool that can help a lot of people.
