ProofPilot

ProofPilot is an evidence-first delivery agent for freelancers and small software teams. It converts a client brief and optional project context into an auditable delivery draft instead of jumping straight to promises.

The problem

Client briefs often mix facts, assumptions, requests, missing details, and commercial pressure. Turning them into a reliable scope, risk register, milestones, and open questions takes repetitive work, while an overconfident AI-generated proposal can create expensive commitments.

Who it is for

Freelancers, software agencies, project leads, technical consultants, and small product teams that repeatedly translate incomplete client requests into implementation plans.

What ProofPilot does

  1. Accepts a client brief and optional project/repository context.
  2. Builds a source-labelled evidence ledger so stated facts remain distinguishable from assumptions.
  3. Drafts scope, risks, milestones, and unanswered questions.
  4. Surfaces uncertainty instead of hiding it.
  5. Stops before pricing, contractual commitment, or external client communication and requires human approval.
  6. Supports a real AWS Strands Agents execution path when an authorized AWS environment is configured, while also providing a deterministic local demo mode for transparent evaluation.

Why it matters

Professional agents are most useful when they automate repetitive judgment-heavy preparation without taking away the decisions humans should own. ProofPilot reduces proposal-preparation overhead while making the resulting work easier to audit and safer to approve.

Technical implementation

The application is implemented in Python with FastAPI and the Strands Agents SDK. The AWS path uses the standard AWS credential chain and can run through an authorized Bedrock-backed Strands environment. The project deliberately does not fake cloud/model execution: the UI distinguishes local deterministic mode from real AWS/Strands mode.

The repository includes the complete source code, setup instructions, tests, an MIT license, architecture documentation and diagram, disclosure notes, and a demo-video script.

Human-control boundary

ProofPilot prepares evidence and recommendations; scope approval, price, contractual commitment, and external sends remain human decisions. This boundary is explicit in the architecture and UI.
