Problem

Students are often asked whether evidence supports a conclusion, but most tools jump straight to an answer. ProofPath Classroom makes the reasoning step visible.

A learner enters a claim and a piece of evidence. The product returns one bounded relationship:

SUPPORTED CONTRADICTED INSUFFICIENT

The goal is not to act as a truth detector. The goal is to help students practice what evidence can and cannot justify.

Working product

This Next Founders entry uses the existing ProofPath educational prototype.

The current implementation runs entirely in the browser with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. At startup it trains a compact three-class softmax-regression model from bundled labeled claim/evidence examples.

The committed fixed holdout contains 10 examples and the committed test harness expects 10/10 on that small bounded set. That result is not claimed as general-world accuracy.

Technical execution

The model uses interpretable text-pair features including lexical overlap, coverage, negation mismatch, numeric conflict, antonym conflict, uncertainty cues, overclaim cues, and evidence/claim length relationships.

The core product requires:

no external AI API no paid inference service no account no model download

That keeps the current prototype simple and makes the core classification step independent of per-token inference cost.

Innovation and UX

ProofPath Classroom is deliberately narrow.

Instead of answering the student's question, it asks a more disciplined one: what relationship exists between this claim and this evidence?

The three-state interaction makes an important distinction visible:

support is not the same as truth certification contradiction is not the same as missing evidence insufficient evidence is allowed to remain insufficient

Business model

The commercial plan is a freemium classroom model. These are pricing hypotheses, not claims of existing revenue.

Free Student

The existing learner experience remains free.

Teacher Pack

Planned paid layer:

assignment templates exportable evidence exercises teacher-created example sets classroom activity guides

Pricing hypothesis: $49 per teacher per year

School Pilot

Planned institutional package:

up to 10 teacher seats shared classroom templates onboarding material

Pricing hypothesis: $249 per school per year for an early pilot.

Path to financial sustainability

The current classifier runs locally without paid model inference, so the core analysis does not create a token charge on every student interaction.

The commercial sequence is intentionally conservative:

keep the learner tool free test demand with teachers obtain at least one written willingness-to-pay signal only then build Teacher Pack account/billing features expand to school licensing only after repeated demand

No revenue, paying customer, implemented billing system, or school contract is claimed today.

Existing-work disclosure

The underlying ProofPath prototype predates this Next Founders submission.

This entry does not claim that the product was built from scratch during Next Founders. The Next Founders-specific work is the commercialization model, target-customer framing, and five-minute business/product pitch package.

Fresh runtime boundary

The previously listed Shipstatic ProofPath URL returned 404 and is superseded for this submission.

A self-contained Next Founders demo was created from the committed ProofPath browser implementation and freshly read back from the immutable commit-backed public URL below:

https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/lbkapcsolat-dotcom/ProofPath@03ed875656416ac9079a84e2383464c08b251e28/next-founders-2026/live-demo.html

The public page exposes the expected ProofPath interface and claim ceiling. This is the current live-demo evidence for the submission.

Claim ceiling

EDUCATIONAL_EVIDENCE_ASSESSMENT_ONLY

ProofPath Classroom is not a truth detector, scientific validator, medical/legal tool, or general automatic fact checker.

Next Founders 5-minute pitch script

The event-specific script is committed here:

Live demo restored

Fresh public demo at an immutable commit-backed URL: https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/lbkapcsolat-dotcom/ProofPath@03ed875656416ac9079a84e2383464c08b251e28/next-founders-2026/live-demo.html

This readback replaces the previously dead Shipstatic URL. The page is a self-contained copy of the committed ProofPath browser prototype prepared for Next Founders.

Next Founders pitch

Narrated product + business pitch: https://scrimba.com/explain/guide02m872tpg?claim=fhh38oam51knh093&fullscreen=1

Runtime shown by the pitch host is approximately five minutes. The existing Devpost video field remains bound to the earlier ProofPath YouTube demo because Devpost's dedicated video field accepts YouTube/Vimeo, while the event-specific pitch is hosted separately and linked here.
