Inspiration

As a student and early-career builder, I kept seeing the same problem: capable people are asked for experience before they are given a chance to gain it. A résumé can list skills, but it rarely proves what someone has actually done.

Proofline was built to make real effort visible. It helps students turn small, meaningful actions into evidence of skill, growth, and impact.

What it does

Proofline gives users short real-world missions and turns their completed work into shareable Proof Cards.

A user captures an outcome with a photo, voice note, or written reflection. Proofline then helps organize the evidence into a clear story: what they did, the skills they used, the problem they solved, and what they learned.

Instead of saying, “I have this skill,” users can show it.

How we built it

We built Proofline as a mobile-first experience using [React Native / Expo], with [Supabase / Firebase] for user data and [AI service] to help structure reflections into Proof Cards.

RevenueCat powers Proofline Plus, which unlocks unlimited AI coaching, premium Proof Card themes, and opportunity-ready portfolio exports. This lets the free experience create value immediately while giving ambitious users a clear upgrade path.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest challenge was reducing a large idea—making opportunity more accessible—into one simple, useful mobile flow.

We also had to make AI feel supportive rather than generic. The goal was not to generate empty résumé language; it was to help users describe real work honestly and clearly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Created a mobile-first way to transform real actions into proof of skill
  • Designed the Proof Card as a simple, shareable “before résumé” credential
  • Integrated RevenueCat to create a sustainable premium model
  • Built a project that connects learning, real-world action, and opportunity

What we learned

We learned that people do not always need another course or another productivity tool. Often, they need a way to recognize and communicate the value of work they are already doing.

We also learned that the best product experiences make complicated systems feel human and immediate.

What's next for Proofline

Next, we will expand the mission library with challenges from campuses, local businesses, and community organizations.

Our long-term vision is for Proofline to become a living portfolio: a place where learners can build credible evidence of what they can do—before a job title, degree, or network gives them permission.
