About the Project: Promptstorm TV

Inspiration

The idea for Promptstorm TV came from the chaotic energy of the Maximally Promptstorm Hackathon itself. I wanted to create a project that showcases AI creativity in a playful, unpredictable way. Traditional AI demos are often serious or technical, but this hackathon encouraged speed, creativity, and chaos—so I imagined a fictional AI-powered TV network where every show is generated from a single wild prompt. The goal was to turn prompts into entertainment, demonstrating how flexible and funny AI can be.

What I Learned

  • How to craft effective AI prompts that produce humorous and chaotic outputs.
  • How to structure AI-generated content for a presentation format that’s readable and visually appealing.
  • How to combine multiple AI tools (ChatGPT for text, Nano Banana or other AI image generators for visuals) to make a cohesive project.
  • That AI can produce unexpectedly creative results, sometimes more imaginative than I anticipated.

How I Built the Project

  1. Planning the Concept: I designed a “TV network” format with multiple shows, each representing a different theme and tone (chaotic, futuristic, romantic, or absurd).
  2. Writing Prompts: Each show began with a single creative prompt to guide AI outputs, e.g., a cooking show with robots or a soap opera between two algorithms.
  3. Generating Content: Used ChatGPT to generate scripts, dialogues, and descriptions for each show. Optionally, used Nano Banana for visual thumbnails.
  4. Presentation Design: Compiled all shows in Gamma as a slide deck. Styled slides with neon electric colors, emojis, and comic-style fonts to match the “stormy” theme.
  5. Final Compilation: Added a prompt log, write-up, and optional screenshots to create a complete submission-ready project.

Challenges Faced

  • Balancing chaos with readability: Some AI outputs were too absurd, so I had to tweak prompts to maintain humor while keeping it understandable.
  • Limited time: With only a few hours left in the hackathon, I had to prioritize completing a cohesive set of shows over perfection.
  • Visual integration: Creating a thumbnail and slides that matched the high-energy, chaotic theme took multiple iterations.

Optional Math / AI Twist

For fun, I imagined a “chaos function” representing how unpredictable each AI show could be:

[ C(p) = \sum_{i=1}^{n} \text{abs}(\text{AI_output}_i - \text{Expected}_i) ]

Where (C(p)) is the total chaos generated for prompts (p), (n) is the number of shows, and (\text{AI_output}_i) is the actual AI output for show (i). The goal: maximize (C(p)) while keeping content entertaining.
