Inspiration

PromptPro AI started with a simple problem: many people know what they want from AI, but they struggle to explain it clearly. This is especially difficult for beginners, people working outside their native language, and anyone who wastes time and tokens rewriting prompts repeatedly.

I wanted to create a practical tool that turns an ordinary rough idea into a clear, professional AI instruction without requiring technical knowledge, an API key, credits, or a login.

What it does

PromptPro AI is a multilingual prompt builder. A user can:

  • Select their preferred language
  • Enter a rough idea, question, or instruction
  • Choose the prompt type and tone
  • Add a safety and risk check
  • Compress the prompt to reduce wasted tokens
  • Generate copy-ready prompts in both English and the selected language
  • Copy either version for use with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, or another AI tool

The current version supports seven interface languages and works directly through a public web page.

How we built it

PromptPro was built as a responsive React-based web application with reusable interface components, structured prompt-generation logic, multilingual content, and browser-based controls.

I used Codex with GPT-5.6 as a technical partner throughout the final development and debugging process. Codex reviewed source components, helped diagnose interface and stacking problems, identified visibility and color conflicts, improved the multilingual user flow, verified the public deployment, and helped prepare the final working submission.

Because PromptPro generates structured instructions directly in the browser, users do not need an API key or paid AI credits to use the tool.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was making a feature-rich prompt builder remain simple for someone who may be completely new to AI. Multilingual output also required careful testing so that changing languages did not break the interface or hide important controls.

We also encountered real interface problems during development, including overlapping controls, inconsistent preview behavior, and footer text that became unreadable because the background and text colors were too similar. Codex helped isolate the actual causes instead of treating them as missing content.

Accomplishments

I am proud that PromptPro is a complete, publicly usable MVP rather than only a concept or mockup. It provides a coherent experience from rough idea to bilingual, copy-ready prompt.

It also demonstrates that a founder without a traditional software-development background can use Codex and GPT-5.6 to turn an idea into a working product.

What I learned

I learned that AI-assisted development works best when the human stays focused on the problem, user experience, and desired outcome while Codex helps inspect, troubleshoot, and improve the technical implementation.

What’s next

Future plans include dedicated iOS and Android apps, additional languages, saved prompt templates, accessibility improvements, and optional business and team features.
