Inspiration
For better or worse, Gen AI prompting and vibe coding is the future It seems easy (but it isn’t) Prompting tests problem solving and communication
What it does
The game of AI prompting Two Modes Daily Golf Can you beat the challenge in the fewest prompts? Create the target objective (an image, text, code, etc.) in as few prompts as possible Party Mode Challenge your friends to make the best prompt
How we built it
Frontend — React.js Single-page app for challenges, party rooms, and leaderboards. Calls our API, shows model outputs, scores, and “strokes to par.” Backend — Node + Express REST endpoints handle challenge fetch, attempts, party mode, and scoring. Orchestrates calls to Gemini and writes results to Atlas. Storage — MongoDB Atlas Collections for users, challenges, attempts, and leaderboards. Indexed. Compute / AI — Gemini API + Hosting Gemini generates outputs and rubric feedback. Agile Development
Challenges we ran into
Our limited vibe coding experience Complexity of code, ideas SO many merge conflicts!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We believe that this idea embodies the future of coding (forget Leetcode) We’ve never used AI this much!
What we learned
Project Organization and Teamwork (Agile) Importance of Vibe Coding (Ironically)
What's next for Promptly
As a group: More Hackathons! On this project: Continued Development, Release it as a game for the entire Cornell Campus & World
