Inspiration
AI tools are becoming more powerful, but getting the best results still depends on how we write our prompts. We wanted to solve a common problem: users often struggle to understand why one prompt works better than another.
This inspired us to build PromptCraft — Test. Compare. Improve.
What it does
PromptCraft is an AI Prompt Bench and Comparison Tool that helps users experiment with different prompts and evaluate their results in one workspace.
Users can compare two prompt versions, test them against multiple scenarios, view differences between responses, and evaluate prompt quality through clarity, specificity, and relevance scores.
How we built it
We designed PromptCraft around a simple workflow: write prompts, run tests, compare outputs, and identify improvements. The interface brings prompt editors, test scenarios, response comparisons, and quality metrics together in a modern, responsive dashboard.
Challenges we faced
One of the main challenges was designing a comparison experience that makes differences easy to understand. We focused on presenting results clearly, organizing test scenarios, and making prompt evaluation intuitive for users.
What we learned
This project helped us explore AI-assisted development, structured planning, user-focused interface design, and the importance of testing AI prompts systematically instead of relying on guesswork.
What's next
We aim to introduce reusable prompt templates, more evaluation criteria, experiment history, and support for comparing prompts across different AI models.
