Inspiration
When I heard that around 2.5 billion prompts are written every day, totaling over 900 billion prompts, I felt inspired to create this product. We also aim to tackle the issue of high AI bills and excessive token consumption. We plan to address this with a new feature in PromptAura that is currently under development, set to launch in July 2026.
What it does
PromptAura helps create professional-level, context-rich prompts. It can also store memory for over 22 AI platforms, including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Lovable, Bolt, Gamma, Midjourney, and others.
How we built it
We built it by focusing on what users want from their AI. We spoke with users and learned the basics of UI and UX design. Ronit introduced Refine Mode, integrated MongoDB, and deployed PromptAura's valuable backend on Render and now he is woking on feature called Saver (temporary name) to help users, especially enterprises, reduce AI costs and token consumption. Soham worked on website design and addressed problems during execution. He also managed the development of PromptAura's privacy policy nicely.
Challenges we ran into
Initially, PromptAura faced rejection from Google on the Chrome Web Store due to strict rules, some bugs, and issues in the privacy policy. After several attempts, we successfully published it on the Chrome Web Store on our third try.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
PromptAura was recently published on the Chrome Web Store, and we have over 60 users waiting to try it. We are in talks with DPGU University and DYPIT Institute in Pune so their staff and students can work on innovative projects and research, potentially adding over 500+ early test users.
What we learned
We learned how to communicate with people to improve our product. We also figured out how to use AI tools like Novus and some coding-related tools.
What's next for PromptAura
Our next goal is to introduce Saver Mode and make PromptAura available on other browsers and code editors like VSCode, Cursor, Antigravity, Codex, etc . After testing PromptAura with early users, we will make improvements. If everything goes well, we will pursue enterprise sales and seek funding for our startup.
