Inspiration
As generative AI tools exploded in popularity, managing prompts became chaotic—scattered across apps, chats, and docs. I needed a centralized, user-friendly space to organize, reuse, and improve prompts, especially when working across multiple AI platforms. That’s when the idea for Promptasia was born: a colorful, intuitive prompt command center.
What it does
Promptasia is an elegant prompt management app that helps users organize, version, and optimize prompts across different AI applications. Users can tag prompts by project and platform, update or delete them, track prompt history, and maintain clean workflows. It makes prompt crafting efficient and strategic, especially when collaborating or iterating across use cases.
How I built it
I built Promptasia using Bolt, which allowed rapid development of a sleek, responsive, and modular user interface. Bolt’s flexibility made it easy to prototype features like version tracking, tagging, and history views while keeping the UX lightweight and engaging. The system is built for extensibility, with room to integrate AI evaluation and insights features down the line.
Challenges I ran into
One major challenge was designing an interface that’s both intuitive and general-purpose, capable of supporting all types of prompts—creative, technical, instructional, and more. It also had to be adaptable, as this space is evolving rapidly with new tools, formats, and user needs. Balancing simplicity with power was a continuous design decision.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I’m proud of how seamless the prompt lifecycle feels—from creation to iteration to reuse. The interface is playful but professional, and the architecture is scalable for teams and individuals alike. It’s already streamlined my own AI workflows dramatically.
What I learned
Managing prompts at scale is more complex than it seems. I gained a deeper appreciation for user-centered design, especially for tools that support creativity. I also learned how valuable prompt history and metadata can be when optimizing for outcomes.
What's next for Promptasia
Next, I’m building an AI evaluation tool within Promptasia. This feature will help users assess which AI platform aligns best with their prompt goals—providing insights like expected output quality, estimated cost, latency, and platform-specific strengths. It will empower users to make smarter, data-driven decisions on where to deploy their prompts. Future updates will also include collaboration tools and deeper analytics.
