Prompt-Verse - Bolt.new Hackathon Submission
Inspiration
I believe deeply that AI is transformative, and that good prompting will become one of the most critical skills of the future. A well-crafted prompt can deliver better results with weaker models than a poorly constructed prompt with the most advanced models available. It's like Formula One drivers, pilots, or any professional in their field - the better the context and instruction set, the better the result.
This conviction inspired me to create Prompt-Verse: a platform that empowers users to craft, test, and perfect AI prompts with the same precision that professionals bring to their craft.
What it does
Prompt-Verse is an intuitive prompt engineering platform that allows users to:
- Create and test AI prompts with real-time feedback
- Build prompt libraries and templates for different use cases
- Compare prompt performance across different scenarios
- Share and discover proven prompt patterns from the community
- Optimize prompts for specific AI models and tasks
The platform transforms prompt engineering from guesswork into a systematic, data-driven process.
How we built it
This project was built almost entirely using bolt.new with a really strong initial prompt, complemented by VS Code with Copilot for bug fixes, adding shadcn/ui components, and integrating Stripe for payments.
The tech stack includes:
- Frontend: Next.js with React and TypeScript
- UI Components: shadcn/ui for a polished, accessible interface
- Payments: Stripe integration for premium features
- AI Integration: Multiple AI model APIs for prompt testing
- Development: Bolt.new for rapid prototyping and core development
Bolt.new was particularly powerful for implementing AI API calls quickly, allowing me to focus on the user experience rather than boilerplate code.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges were diverse and grew with the project's complexity:
- Stripe Integration: Implementing payment processing while maintaining a smooth user experience
- UI Component Integration: Ensuring shadcn/ui components worked seamlessly with the existing design system
- Feature Reliability: Making sure all features worked consistently across different use cases
- Scaling Complexity: Managing increasing project size while maintaining code quality
Fortunately, bolt.new's AI-powered development environment helped overcome most technical hurdles quickly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The biggest accomplishment was breaking through months of development paralysis. I had been trying to build this app for months, getting stuck in the trap of over-perfecting coding patterns with Next.js server-side actions and complex architectures.
Features over coding patterns became my mantra. In just the last two days of this hackathon, thanks to a very good initial prompt and bolt.new's capabilities, I built a functional MVP that delivers real value.
Key achievements:
- Built a complete MVP in 2 days after months of failed attempts
- Successfully integrated multiple complex systems (AI APIs, Stripe, UI components)
- Created an intuitive user experience for a technically complex domain
- Proved that good prompting + the right tools can dramatically accelerate development
What we learned
This hackathon reinforced several crucial lessons:

- Feature-First Development: Focusing on user value over perfect code architecture leads to faster, better results

Most importantly, I learned that the future of development isn't about replacing developers - it's about amplifying their capabilities through better human-AI collaboration.
What's next for Prompt-Verse
The roadmap focuses on user-driven improvement and feature expansion:

- Gather user feedback and iterate rapidly

- Expand to support more AI models and use cases
Long-term Vision:
- Become the go-to platform for prompt engineering professionals
- Build advanced analytics and A/B testing for prompts
- Create educational content and certification programs
- Develop enterprise features for teams and organizations
