Inspiration

I was tired of repetitive, “me-too” AI UIs that waste time and credits. Even with advanced AI tools, refining prompts feels inefficient. I wanted to create a system that feels like a real OS — professional, adaptive, and intuitive — where prompts are smart, honest, and easy to manage.

What it does

Prompt OS is an AI-powered workspace that:

Optimizes and purifies prompts for coding, writing, image, video, and content generation

Adapts follow-up questions based on user input

Provides a truth-check module to verify feasibility

Stores and organizes prompts in a vault

Supports voice input and reference images

Offers productivity tools like Focus Deck, Idea Synth, Template Forge, and AI Buddy

How we built it

Used an OS-like UI design for full-screen workflow and taskbar navigation

Created a single adaptive Prompt Intelligence core that handles all AI tasks

Integrated voice input, image upload, and dynamic prompt optimization

Designed all icons and layouts to look professional, avoiding generic AI-generated styles

Built the system modularly so new tools and features can be added easily

Challenges we ran into

Premium authentication wasn’t initially unlocking paid features

Modal/window management and stacking layers caused UX issues

Core prompt optimization sometimes failed silently

Scroll functionality and accessibility needed careful handling

Ensuring icons, animations, and colors looked professional and not AI-generated
