Hologram Projector is a plug-and-play holographic display solution that transforms 3D models into an interactive hologram for presentations and product demos. By eliminating the friction of traditional hologram creation (removing the complicated software to render multiple views), the Hologram Projector allows users to simply upload a 2D or 3D sketch and generates a rotating, hologram-ready video using our web app. The device itself is an LCD-based unit that uses the science behind “Pepper’s Ghost” and projects volumetric-style visuals. Further iterations will involve gesture controls for movement of the hologram in the 3D space. Our target audience would be high school and college student entrepreneurs, STEM presenters, and makers who create 3D models and participate in hackathons, demo days, science fairs, and pitch competitions. This initial target market segment values visual impact and clarity in their presentations, but oftentimes lacks the tools to create immersive 3D displays. Demographically, these students are 14 to 22 years old across all genders, races, and ethnicities, and are generally from medium to high-income backgrounds. Geographically, they span across all countries and languages; as long as they have access to digital maker tools and presentation opportunities, they will have a use case for our product. Psychographically, they are driven by their passion for entrepreneurship, STEM, and innovation. They enjoy building, experimenting, and prototyping collaboratively (maker spaces or startup clubs). Behaviorally, they are early adopters of new technologies, often share their projects online, and regularly seek out new tools to help them innovatively present their projects.
Student presenters want attention, expression, and memorability. As such, the Hologram Projector is an easy-to-use visual presentation aid that utilizes the idea of the attention economy: in a sea of Powerpoints, Canvas, and Google Slides, a student’s hologram projector stands out and leaves a memorable, lasting impression on viewers. Our company goes beyond just offering the Hologram Projector; 5% of sales revenue will be redirected into a donation fund to supply free/reduced-cost Hologram Projectors to students who are not able to purchase one but still feel passionately about product design and entrepreneurship. In this way, our company engages with people and upholds our values of innovating in the fields of entrepreneurship and design.
