Inspiration

Me and Ivan suck at cooking and need recipes and we also don't control our fridges or pantries because we live with family.

What it does

Keeps track of your pantry stock by simply uploading your grocery receipts.

How we built it

Django and the spoonacular api

Challenges we ran into

We have never made a full wep app before, so we were learning about out tools as we went. The idea for our app was more fitting as a mobile app, but we had no experience with mobile app development. In the end we had to concede on making a web app and modeling it like a mobile app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It works (thank god) and it looks pretty good

What we learned

I think we can confidently say that we know django, not that we are experts. We've also never had to make extensive use of API's before, and we were happy to have an excuse to learn.
