Inspiration
We have always had an interest in zombie based games, but the variety of themes in these games are quite limited. There is always too much focus on the ways survivors destroy each other and the "hoard" destroying all instead of focusing on small interpersonal stories, or how a zombie apocalypse leaves marks on the world. This game is supposed to focus on those minor aspects and show how interesting they can be, through a sort of 60 seconds inspired text based adventure.
What it does
This is a mostly text based adventure game where you send out one survivor at a time to explore a randomly generated grid without dying, and hopefully gaining resources in the process.
How we built it
This project was exclusively coded in c # by one developer while the other acted as moral support and creative inspiration.
Challenges we ran into
We initially wanted to work on the project in a group but couldn't figure out how to merge branches through the command line and just chose one person to work on the project instead
Accomplishments that we're proud of
using previous knowledge from another coding language into another language (java to c #)
What we learned
group collaboration requires defined, actionable goals and designing concepts before hand so collaboration can be planned around them
What's next for project zombie
We will attempt to continue the project, firstly by figuring out how to actually contribute together on the project lol :D and then implementing the resource management and safehouse mechanics seen in 60 seconds.
