Inspiration

HealthShield was inspired by the significant population of seniors in Fort Lauderdale who rely on wearable medical devices for continuous blood pressure monitoring.

What it does

HealthShield secures medical devices by encrypting patient IDs, protecting health information such as height, weight, BMI, and conditions. The encryption is simulated using JavaScript code.

How we built it

We built HealthShield using JavaScript, crypto-js, Node.js, and npm.

Challenges we ran into

A text-based JavaScript code script was made due to time constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite limitations, we were able to integrate patent data into our code and perform encryption.

What we learned

We learned how to encrypt data using crypto-js and npm libraries.

What's next for HealthShield

We plan to build HealthShield as a web app with a user interface that simulates a medical device.
