About the Project: Yuko - AI Assistant for Educational Institutions

Inspiration

Many students often struggle to find accurate and timely information about their school, from admissions processes to event details. This inspired us to create Yuko, a Generative AI assistant powered by Google Gemini. Yuko is designed to provide quick and precise answers to frequently asked questions, making student support more accessible and efficient.

What We Learned

Developing Yuko taught us several valuable lessons:

Fine-tuning AI: We learned how to train and customize a Generative AI model to meet specific institutional needs.
Data management: The importance of curating clean, accurate, and relevant datasets for training the AI.
User-focused design: Building an AI that not only provides accurate responses but also delivers them in a user-friendly manner.
