Inspiration
I wanted to build a solution for proper waste management and waste segregation so that we can recycle as much waste as we can and bring the world closer to Sustainability.
What it does
It can answer user's queries related to waste management and waste segregation. Additionally, the user can also directly point the camera at the object to detect what is the object called and in which the object will be disposed. The system can also switch from laptop's camera to mobile's camera.
How we built it
I used yolo model to detect the objects and classify them in real time and used groq api to answer user's queries in just 1 or 2 seconds. Overall UI is built using html5 and Javascript and used python for the functionality.

How to build such project with 0 cost and maintain the project's efficiency.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Build a working system that can be useful in future in almost every country where the user can use this web application.
What we learned
I learned how we can use free tools and free open source tech stacks to build something useful for people and to make a solution for problems related to waste management and waste segregation.
What's next for Project WasteGuard AI
In future i would like to add a self training feature where if the system detect the object differently from what it is expected then the user can give the system a feedback from that feedback the system will train itself and learn to correct itself.
