✨ “ЛЕБІДЬ СІРИЙ” (Grey Swan)
🦢 Original poetic music film by Yuliya Levashova
🎬 Project Description:
“Grey Swan” is a lyrical video transformation - a poetic journey that begins with a little girl the world refused to see. Her childhood is shadowed by silence and rejection. But over time, she grows, blossoms, becomes an artist - and discovers her true essence.
🟣 Submission Category: Behind the Scenes
This project is submitted in the “Behind the Scenes” category, as it documents not only the final video but the creative journey, technical challenges, and symbolic decisions that shaped the film “Grey Swan”. The submission includes:
The final poetic music video
A detailed project description
Original poetry by the author
Commentary on key scenes and visual transitions
A correction note regarding tool attribution
A visual gallery of selected generated frames
Reflections on the emotional and symbolic arc of the film.
Languages: Ukrainian (original), English (translated)
Visual style: Cinematic, symbolic, emotionally driven
Themes: Identity, transformation, emotional liberation, inner awakening
This film is about inner awakening. About how fear and borrowed thoughts can hide beauty. About how each of us carries a white swan inside - waiting for the moment to rise.
This is not just a fairytale. It is a poetic testimony to the strength that lives in all of us.
The visual scenes portray metamorphosis - from grey to white, from shadow to light.
🎵 Music, poetry, and imagery were created by the author to express emotion that transcends words. The original verses are deeply personal - written entirely by me. The video was then brought to life through cinematic interpretation using AI tools, which helped visualize the emotional and symbolic journey.
Music, vocals and imagery were created by the author with the support of AI tools: Suno AI, Kling AI, HailuoAI, Luma Dream Machine, Genmo.ai, Fotor, VITA.
📝 Poem by Yuliya Levashova (Translated)
💫 A person, like a grey swan... Lives unaware that beauty hides within. Unaware they can soar so high - Held down by fear that chains the soul.
💫 Not yet ripened in understanding, They trust too easily, Taking others’ thoughts as their own. And until the time comes, they won’t see That those who judge them - only see themselves.
💫 It feels like a fairytale, yet few believe. We’ve forgotten how to welcome miracles. But the time will come, and the swan Will spread its white wings and rise.
💫 It will see the magic of the sky, Gracefully lifting from the earth. Perhaps those who never believed will feel sorrow - But sorrow will vanish in a breath, If only each of us understands: We are one. And the white swan lives in all of us. ❤️
Most of the visual sequences for the film "ЛЕБІДЬ СІРИЙ" were created using Kling AI. The screenshot in the gallery shows a large set of generated clips, most of which were selected and integrated into the final film.
Correction Note:
_During the finalization of the video credits, I mistakenly listed Vivago AI as a visual contributor to this project. While I did generate 28 images using Vivago AI during the same creative period, none of them were used in this specific film.
This confusion occurred because I was simultaneously developing another project and unintentionally merged the tool references.
At the same time, I omitted HailuoAI, which was in fact used to generate visual elements for “ЛЕБІДЬ СІРИЙ”.
I will update the video credits to reflect this accurately as soon as possible.
For now, I acknowledge this correction here to maintain transparency and proper attribution.
To support this correction, I’ve added a visual gallery showing selected screenshots and frames that were actually used in the final video. This includes AI-generated scenes created with HailuoAI - chosen and integrated by me to reflect the emotional and symbolic arc of the film.
Thank you for understanding._
🎬 Creative Process Note:
One of the most challenging scenes to create was the transformation of a 9-year-old girl into a grown woman - a symbolic moment of emotional liberation.
The intended sequence showed the child approaching her classmates near the school building. They reject her, pointing and laughing, refusing friendship. In that moment, she turns away - not just from them, but from the school itself - walking toward the viewer, transformed into a confident, beautiful young woman.
This was meant to visually represent the passage of years in a single emotional gesture: her turning away from judgment and stepping into selfhood.
While the transformation itself was successfully generated, I faced technical limitations in animating the full transition - especially the final walk away from the schoolyard.
To resolve this, I used a cinematic cut: the scene ends with her transformation, and then, using a transition effect via VITA, I replaced the frame with a new shot of the adult woman walking toward the screen - toward the audience - free from the weight of others’ opinions.
🎬 Commentary on the scene: The Door That Didn't Open
One of the most emotionally symbolic scenes in the film "ЛЕБІДЬ СІРИЙ" was supposed to show a girl entering an elegant door - stepping into a new space, a new "self." I wanted the viewer to watch her movement from the screen - as if she were entering an inner world, into the beauty that opens beyond the threshold.
But during the generation, the scene turned out differently: the girl either moved away from the screen to the door, not reaching it, or went outside, instead of entering the building. In the final video, on the contrary, she moved towards the viewer - and I couldn't show what was inside.
Therefore, I decided to interrupt the frame and start it from a new angle - with the girl walking from the door to the screen. To maintain visual integrity, I replaced the girl, choosing similar clothes and facial features, because the generation with the door was a separate result.
This scene was a test for me - and at the same time a reminder that you don't always have to go in to change. Sometimes it's enough to take a step towards yourself.
🎬 Creative Commentary: When the Statues Didn’t Smile
There were moments in the creative process when I had to let go of my original vision - and perhaps that was for the better.
Initially, I imagined a scene set in an incredible hall of architecture, filled with medieval sculptures and a sense of mysticism. The statues were meant to be professional actors who would suddenly come to life - smiling at the girl as she wandered through the sacred space. The buildings were to evoke eternity, divine essence, and cinematic awe.
But after several attempts, the generation didn’t deliver what I envisioned. So I shifted the narrative: the girl no longer approached living statues - instead, she walked toward the exit, into a magical garden. A new metaphor emerged: not the embrace of the divine, but the quiet step into nature’s mystery.
Since this was a completely new generation, I also had to replace the girl - carefully matching her dress to maintain continuity with earlier scenes.
🎬 Creative Commentary: From Jatayu to the Swan
My initial vision for this scene was inspired by the mythical bird Jatayu from the Indian epic Ramayana - a symbol of sacrifice, courage, and devotion to truth. I imagined a breathtaking park exit, bathed in golden hour light, with a panoramic sculpture of Jatayu standing tall amidst lush greenery. The prompt I used was:
“Incredibly beautiful exit to the park, panoramic view of the sculpture of a mythical bird Jatayu from the Indian epic Ramayana, real photo film, golden hour lighting, intricate details, vibrant colors, lush greenery, serene atmosphere.”
While the concept was rich in symbolism, the generated visuals didn’t fully capture the essence I hoped for. Instead, I found a compelling frame created by HailluoAI - but the bird didn’t fit the emotional tone of the film.
So I made a creative pivot: I replaced the pink bird with a new image generated in Kling AI - a statue of a man with a gray swan behind him, blending into his form like a shadow. This new prompt was:
“Incredibly beautiful statue of a man who has not discovered his true essence of the divine, behind him is like his shadow, a gray swan, real photo film.”
The result - a serene garden scene with the swan and the man - felt deeply aligned with the film’s themes of identity, transformation, and quiet divinity.
Sometimes, the symbol changes - but the truth remains.
🪞## Final Reflection Creating “Grey Swan” was not just an artistic process — it was a personal metamorphosis. Each scene, each image, each poetic line reflects a moment of choice: to let go of fear, to embrace beauty, to walk toward truth. The technical limitations became metaphors. The substitutions became symbols. And in the end, the swan rose - not because the path was perfect, but because the soul was ready.
This is not just a film. It is a quiet revolution of the heart.
💌 Closing Note
I created "СІРИЙ ЛЕБІДЬ" (“Grey Swan” ) not to impress - but to express. To offer a quiet space where emotion can breathe, where symbols speak louder than words, and where transformation is felt, not explained.
To everyone who watches - and especially to those who feel: Thank you. Your heart completes this film.
“Лебідь Сірий” живе не на екрані - він живе у тому, хто його відчув. І якщо хоча б одна людина побачить у ньому себе - значить, він злетів.
With gratitude, Yuliya Levashova 🙌❤️🕊
