What it does
Inspiration
The inspiration behind this English Course project came from the need to create an interactive, modern, and accessible digital platform for learning English. I wanted to build a seamless web-based application that makes mastering grammar, vocabulary, and quizzes engaging and easy to navigate for students.
What it does
This platform provides structured English learning modules, interactive quizzes to test user progress, and a dynamic course catalog. It allows learners to practice and track their English proficiency in an intuitive, user-friendly digital environment.
How we built it
This project was developed using modern web technologies:
- Framework & Frontend: Built using Next.js and React to ensure high performance, fast page loads, and a responsive user interface.
- Database & Backend: Integrated with Supabase to handle user progress, course data, and dynamic content securely.
- Version Control & Deployment: Managed via GitHub for source code control and seamlessly deployed on Vercel for fast global access and automated CI/CD pipelines.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was connecting and synchronizing the frontend components with the Supabase database, especially when managing environment variables and handling asynchronous data fetching for quizzes. Additionally, optimizing the UI for full responsiveness across mobile and desktop devices required careful styling adjustments. Overcoming these hurdles significantly improved my full-stack web development and deployment skills.
