Inspiration

I wanted to have a place to keep track of all my apps and websites I am building. So I made a website to do exactly that.

What it does

This website allows users to keep track of all their projects in one place. It also tracks what kind of services a user regularly uses in their projects to help with future projects. Costs and subscriptions are shown. It also has a to-do list section for tasks that need to be done on certain projects. Overall it is to help keep all the different projects organized

How I built it

I built Project Stack Tracker with ChatGPT and Codex. I would guide and debug while it literally did like all the coding. I would tell it what I wanted and tweak a few things here and there.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge was keeping the project simple. I kept wanting to add ideas but I just needed to focus on making the project work before actually adding fun details and designs.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of figuring out how to use a bunch of different services together. Like connecting supabase with resend and how to use ChatGPT in an effective way to make all these complicated systems and websites come together to make something awesome.

What I learned

I learned that anyone can start coding, especially with tools like ChatGPT and Codex. I also learned it can still take a lot of time and patience and ChatGPT is an important tool that can be used to help with the whole process.

What's next for Project Stack Tracker

Next, I want to make an app to go along with Project Stack Tracker. Something that is focused on the costs side. I have lots of app ideas though and website ideas I can't wait to do. So hopefully my girlfriend doesn't make me get rid of my ChatGPT subscription!
