Project Silk Road

Inspiration

My inspiration for making this was the Silk route , which historically was a trading route which spanned around 4000 miles and was dating back to 130 bce. It connected East Asia, Mediterranian, the Middle East, and Europe. When thinking about the Silk Road, I was thinking about how that may look like now and that is why I wanted to create this prototype about the Supply Chain.

What it does

This prototype tracks the route of different materials so that it ensures a speedy, ethical, and environmentally optimal route.

How we built it

Challenges I ran into

A challenge I ran into was definately planning the product. It took a while to think of how get revenue from this product an then I came up with having a subscription based plan as a baseline along with other ways to gain more money.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am proud of being able to cpmplete as much as I did in this time period. As I am working alone, I did all of this myself, even if I wasnt able to make the figma prototype fully functional. I feel like they can definately be implemented fully down the line.

What I learned

I learned how to design a page using figma as it was conmpletely new to me. After a while, it became a bit easier for sure.
