  Disaster Relief Reduction

Inspiration I was inspired by my need to help people, and my interest in promoting the safety of communities. I am also interested in climate change, and natural disasters, and their increase in recent years is largely due to this fact.

What it does It's a business plan for an app called SafeGuard that serves two deal with 2 aspects of the Disaster Relief Process, response, and recovery. The app has early warning signals, a way to deal with natural disasters during the disaster(evacuation), and how to deal with the recovery of items post-Disaster.

How we built it I built it using Google slides

Challenges we ran into I ran into the challenge of figuring out a solution to the encompassing problem of Natural Disaster Relief, it's a very niche aspect of Natural Disasters which I don't think is dealt with effectively, and figuring out a way to impact this process, that's different from solutions that are already out there was hard to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of I'm proud of completing the project, and learning a lot more about Natural Disasters and Relief from then than I previously knew.

What we learned I learned about the modern-day response to natural disasters and its ineffectiveness, and about the existing structures for recovery and how organizations spend billions of dollars on relief and recovery

What's next for Project SafeGuard Soon Project SafeGuard will be turning into an app!
