Draw Bridge – Devpost Submission Writeup Inspiration Draw Bridge was inspired by the idea of giving players a fast, simple, and satisfying challenge where their drawing skills determine whether they survive or fall. I wanted to create something instantly fun, mobile-friendly, and visually bold. The game is designed so players can swipe, react, and adapt quickly while racing across dangerous gaps. I also implemented automated holiday texture updates to keep the world feeling fresh throughout the year. What it does Draw Bridge is a side-running mobile puzzle game where players drag their finger to draw bridges in real time before their character falls. Levels increase in complexity, with traps, obstacles, and monthly updates that keep gameplay dynamic. The goal is to reach the end with the fewest falls. The world includes boost pads, challenge sections, and leaderboards, with more levels coming soon. How I built it I built Draw Bridge entirely inside Meta Horizon Worlds using mobile-focused interaction logic for drawing paths, physics-aware obstacles, and a custom draw-and-reset system for performance. The avatar movement and gesture responsiveness were tuned specifically for mobile. I also created an automatic date-based holiday texture system to keep the environment visually engaging. All scripting, design, and gameplay were created by me (13_Chris) with the assistance of Meta Ai features as well as Outside AI programs and design tools. Challenges I ran into Building responsive drawing controls on mobile took extensive iteration, especially optimizing orientation and reducing exploits. Performance under rapid drawing was another major challenge. Balancing difficulty, preventing unintended behaviors, and implementing a limited drawing system (Lead Quantity) were ongoing areas of refinement. What's next for Draw Bridge I plan to add new environments, additional levels, cosmetic unlocks, daily rewards, and expanded challenge systems to increase replayability.
