The Problem
The Problem: Hong Kong is a bustling city with a dense population. This can lead to social isolation, especially for the elderly and newcomers. Existing social platforms often focus on superficial interactions, making it difficult to form meaningful connections in real life.
The Solution: ConnectHK is an AI-powered community platform that helps people connect based on shared interests and needs.
ConnectHK Features:
Smart Matching: Analyzes user interests, hobbies, location, and demographics to match them with compatible individuals. Event Recommendations: AI suggests local events, workshops, volunteering opportunities, and social gatherings based on user interests. Language Support: Offers real-time translation to facilitate communication between people who speak different languages. Accessibility: Includes accessibility features for visually and hearing-impaired users. Safety and Privacy: Prioritizes user safety and data privacy. Benefits of ConnectHK:
Reduces Social Isolation: Helps people form new friendships and develop meaningful connections. Strengthens Community Bonds: Brings together people from different cultures and backgrounds. Increases Local Event Participation: Encourages community involvement by directing users to local events and activities. Promotes Volunteering: Connects people with volunteering opportunities, allowing them to contribute to society. Improves Cross-Cultural Understanding: Facilitates communication between people who speak different languages through the translation feature. Technical Implementation:
