Inspiration

Equity By Design! We wanted to make a project to encourage everyone to start learning about software development by creating a fun, inviting, and accessible website.

What it does

The website requires you to take a short quiz to determine your skill level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and, finally, Supernatural. Based on these rankings, you will then be suggested different Planets that contain several projects for you to learn. The best way to improve at something is by doing it. Therefore, this website provides step-by-step guides and online resources. Advancing through the levels then allows you to work with others. To enforce our values of equity and inclusion, all users will be guinea pig aliens and will all have code names. This total anonymity guarantees that there is no bias in terms of finding your teammates!

How we built it

We used python, typescript, HTML, CSS, Angular, Google's Gemini, Github, and Flask to create this project.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges connecting the front-end and the backend, but we were able to get it to work!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

In the past, my team struggled with using Flask and being able to showcase our backend truly. This time, we were finally able to figure out how to connect them.
