keepProgressing #ConsistencyIsKey #EverybodyIsWinner

I have participated in many global and national hackathons, but this is the first time I am participating in the Devpost hackathon under the Devpost platform, happy and excited about it. From my overall experience through my hackathon journeys, I have observed many points and would like to share one of them through this Hack Devpost. Although there are many challenges that participants face, I thought of taking up this particular problem because one of the main goals of any hackathon is about gaining knowledge and all members to stay consistent and complete their project.

Problem Statement

Hackathon participants often face various challenges such as time constraints, technical difficulties, and team dynamics, among others. While setting goals and prioritizing tasks is crucial for progress, participants may still encounter obstacles that can hinder their progress and lead to a lack of motivation and interest, especially in the online or virtual mode of the hackathon. Additionally, it can be challenging to support and encourage each team's specific needs and requirements. To address these issues, an encouraging tracker can serve as a motivating tool to help participants stay consistent and focused on their project goals, ultimately leading to successful project completion. Therefore, providing a tracker can be an effective way to support participating teams and assist them in managing their work efficiently.

What it does

Through this tracker, the participants will be able to plan and execute the project in the best and most timely manner. It mainly helps to plan the project, fix the deadlines as per their convenience and keep track of their work progress.

Through this method, the devpost team can monitor the activity of the teams easily and also can use these metrics and data for any other purpose. By doing such things, the hackathon organizers can identify if any teams are driving in the wrong direction in the early stages and can eventually alert them.

In the end, if the team is consistent and achieves the required criteria, then a badge of consistency/accountability can be given to those teams. This will be a great takeaway for the teams even if they were not able to grab prizes and they can flaunt it on their social media platforms to gain attention and showcase their consistency skills. This will serve as a great tool for procrastinators and last-minute hustlers in hackathons like me.

The Figma design gives an idea of how the project pacer will look like, the user needs to break down his project into different elements and enter the number of goals to complete his project. Once he enters that the stepper timeline will create the corresponding number of milestones (steps), then for each step, the participant should enter the task description and select the deadline for that particular goal or task. This can help him to track and complete his project in a super cool way.

What I learned

While researching further about the hackathons, I also learned many key aspects of successful hackathons - How well your hackathon participants are engaged and collaborate is a crucial part of any hackathon's success.
