Inspiration: Understanding and managing vehicle population is critical for Chevron’s fuel distribution. The inspiration for this project came from the need to leverage data-driven insights to enhance decision-making in fuel supply management, reduce operational costs, and optimize resource allocation.

What it does: This project processes and analyzes vehicle data to predict vehicle population trends for Chevron’s fuel consumers. By cleaning, structuring, and analyzing large datasets, it helps in making informed decisions that improve fuel distribution efficiency and economic outcomes.

How we built it: The project was developed using Python, Pandas, and Machine Learning. We integrated advanced data preprocessing NN techniques to clean missing values and inconsistencies. A Random Forest model was trained to predict vehicle population trends based on historical and real-time data.

Challenges we ran into: One major challenge was handling missing and inconsistent data, which required extensive preprocessing. Another challenge was optimizing the model to ensure high accuracy while maintaining computational efficiency. Additionally, ensuring scalability for large datasets was crucial.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We successfully built a predictive tool that offers actionable insights for Chevron. The model demonstrates good accuracy, improving fuel demand forecasting and cost efficiency. We also streamlined the data pipeline, making it easier to integrate new data.

What we learned: We gained valuable insights into data preprocessing, feature engineering, and machine learning model optimization. Additionally, we deepened our understanding of real-world applications of predictive analytics in fuel supply and fleet management.

What's next for Project on Vehicle Data Analysis & Population Prediction: Future plans include incorporating deep learning models, enhancing real-time data integration, and developing a user-friendly dashboard for interactive visualizations. We aim to scale the project for broader applications in predictive maintenance, fuel efficiency optimization, and dynamic fleet demand analysis.
