Inspiration

Inspired by Ghostrunner's movement mechanics and environment, and Portal's physics and creativity

What it does

A fast pace neon runner game in a cyber world where the player must avoid red blocks and reach the green portal for survival.

How we built it

This game was built using the Unity engine with the C# language alongside.

Challenges we ran into

The movement with the mouse and jump may be a bit unstable at times. Trying to implement jump times was also an issue that was eventually resolved. The collision detector was not registering for a while in the early stages of development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The lighting was worked on mostly and the jump limit and mouse controls with the 1st person view was something that was out of the comfort zone and it turned out well.

What we learned

1st person view, control limits, and lighting effects, more usages within the Unity Engine.

What's next for Project Neon

More levels being longer and challenging for the player, alongside more new effects that make the player experience a lot more immersive. Controls and movement will be smoother to ensure that no bugs will occur during release.
