Inspiration
Having worked as a junior auditor, it was hard to get relevant supporting documents from exporters and importers when it came to getting their certification. Most of the time they did not readily have the required supporting documents on hand.
CertiChain hopes to help that by using blockchain technology to store certified documents and the exporter's product certification, making it easier for them to distribute their products across different markets.
In the end, an API endpoint is made to be used in e-commerce platforms to show that the exporters have legitimate certifications.
What it does
CertiChain uses blockchain technology to store certified documents and the exporter's product certification, making it easier for them to distribute their products across different markets.
In the end, an API endpoint is made to be used in e-commerce platforms to show that the exporters have legitimate certifications.
CertiChain also has a checklist for exporters to use as a guideline on how to prepare for their certification audit.
How we built it
The web app is completely built using Next JS. If we had more time and man power, the API will be built using GraphQL.
Challenges we ran into
We did not have a blockchain expert in the team to execute the blockchain backend. We also had time limitation as our team was only fully formed towards the end of the challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite our limited time together, we're happy that we could refine our vision for CertiChain and how we could further expand it in the future.
What's next for CertiChain - a Product Certification Platform
We will continue to further develop the platform and develop a dedicated blockchain backend for it as well as the API to be used by e-commerce platforms.
