Today, a coronavirus hackathon can mobilize 1000s of volunteers. How many lives can be saved if 600 teams compete? What if they collaborate?

What it does

We want to maximise collaboration across hackathons, in order to make top-notch open-source equipments available everywhere

  • Collect existing projects on a global platform
  • Foster collaboration
  • Increase projects visibility

How we built it

We thought about methods to foster collaboration. How to find actual needs, how to link needs to precise solutions.

Challenges we ran into

  • Identifying the missing gaps of already existing collaboration platforms for hackathon projects.
  • Everyone’s solution seems to be the best. We need to remove personal stakes to find out the best way to face a common problem.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

We are not alone trying to foster collaboration, and we need to unite. As we thought, we all need to co-create an open solution.

What's next for Project Meta-hackathon

Now that we have a better idea of the landscape, we want to:

  • integrate our method to CivicTechHub as a pilot
  • create visual interfaces to compare projects characteristics
  • jumpstart the collaboration with groups interested in device production

What we need

We need talents:

  • Developers and Designers to help create a quality interaction experience
  • Medical Staff and Caregivers for definition of needs and product vetting
  • DIYer, Makers and Engineers to work on these needs
  • Highly enthusiastic persons to join us in this wonderful adventure
