Inspiration
Misinformation is growing faster than people can verify it. By 2030, both younger and older generations will struggle to distinguish real content from AI-generated media. We wanted to build a simple, trusted tool that helps anyone quickly check what’s true.
What it does
Our app analyzes text, images, and videos. It checks facts, verifies credibility, and detects AI-generated or manipulated media. Users instantly see how reliable the content is and why.
How we built it
We built a Node.js backend with Supabase for auth and storage, and integrated multiple AI models for fact-checking and media detection. The client app sends user content to our service, which returns a reliability score and explanation.
Challenges we ran into
Building accurate AI-detection pipelines, handling different content types, managing performance, and balancing false positives vs. false negatives.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a fully working multi-modal verification system in a short time, with strong accuracy, clean UX, and real potential to help people resist misinformation.
