Inspiration
The inspiration behind this project was Conway's game of life. Me and my teammates have always been fascinated by it's simplistic rules and how these rules can create the most instituting patterns. It was these rules that would later inspire our own set of rules that enter in a new level of complexity.
What it does
The program is able to simulate competition, reproduction, familial structures, and natural selection.
How we built it
We built this program using our own sets of rules that offered itself a unique set of challenges. Such as food depletion, and how we are handle family structures within a text based game.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into some challenges regarding path finding and proper resource allocation that caused us to recreate the program. This took us all night to do.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the time and effort we spent in making these rules. We are also proud of our work ethic.
What we learned
We learned the proper way of exchanging ideas and opening ourselves to different possibilities.
