Inspiration
Stampede of Mina accident is occurred in 2015 / 1436 H, resulting in 769 deaths and 694 injuries. Although there were an organization, management, and modern techniques. So, we have to intensify our efforts in finding solutions to organize crowds.
What it does
Malaa (ملأ) is a web app that helps to organize the crowds and show the numbers of pilgrims in each sector and part of the sacred milestones at the moment by counting the present and the phenomenon of cameras using Human and Motion Detection technology. Which helps both Haji and Umrah, the campaign manager and the organizers of the organization to make the necessary decisions at the right time.
How I built it
We build it with visual studio using Asp.net, C#, JavaScript and HTML.
Challenges I ran into
- Testing Camera so we test the Algorithm in webcam.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- Build Business modeling -Start Building Website interface -Start C# programming for every page. -Built the Database. -Finishing the charts part.
- Testing Human and Motion Detection Algorithm.
What I learned
-New functions that support calculating live the crowds by stream camera. -New functions and techniques. -Programming with new languages.
What's next for ملأ (Malaa)
If we had more time, we will improve the interfaces, database, and the calculating equation for Human Detection Algorithm. in future wise when visual reality becomes familiar and more usable for the user, This project may be developed and serve the VR industry.
