Inspiration
We are aware of the increasing amount of waste the world is producing, so we want to spread the awareness in order to properly sort and manage the different types of waste.
What it does
To inform the younger generation on the problems with trash in the environment.
How we built it
Using Scratch's blocky-code, we programmed a basic game that allows you to collect trash and dispose of them in their respective category
Challenges we ran into
While programming, we ran into a problem about moving the game itself. The solution is to create multiple backdrops with individual offsets and and switch through them to create a moving background.
Accomplishments we strive to achieve
We want to reach out to the younger generation and bring a lasting impact on their view of waste management, so they can minimize improper waste disposal and pollution levels.
What we learned
From the research, we further learned about the extent of the global waste problem. The large concentrations of waste leads to large-scale pollution, which causes millions of people to have health-related issues and millions more lose their lives.
What's next for Project EndLitter
We would like to make another game that is more in-depth in terms of waste management. We could also add advertisements to the game and use the revenue generated to support other environmental cleanup programs such as Team Seas.
