Inspiration

I was inspired by student foreign exchange programs you can undergo in university/college.

What it does

It's supposed to be a service where a volunteer takes a low-income immigrant "under their wing". Just to help them find themselves in a new culture.

How we built it

It's not a coding project, only a pitch.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to create the skeleton for the website/app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the idea of the program, I feel like it could definitely stand-alone in the future.

What we learned

I learned that there's a lot more that goes into making something at this scale, really how hard it would be to build trust for people.

What's next for Project Empower Immigration

I'll see if it's possible to really go through with this by speaking to government officials.
