Inspiration

I have worked on farms before. Unequivocally, disorganization lowers yield more than almost any other problem .Jira sells itself as the perfect tool for Agribusiness management.

What it does

Project Clarity capitalized on how easy Jira is to use. Farm work is managed online and communication is seamlessly done through integration of Jira and Slack . The app does not seek to micromanage every farm worker. Rather, the focus is on the leadership, those who are to be held accountable.

How we built it

The app is a simple integration of slack and Jira. This is a "skeleton" version that seeks to allow for customization based on the need.

Challenges we ran into

The major challenge I ran into was integration of Jira with WhatsApp or Telegram which are much more common in Sub-Saharan Africa. The integration wasn't as seamless as integration with slack

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Atlassian Products are easy to use, innovative and cut to the core of a problem without much effort. What I am most proud off is my team on the farm being able to keep going even while I am away. This is thanks to Jira for Business teams.

What we learned

Great products can make a difference in your life regardless of what corner of the world you are in.

What's next for Project Clarity

I am looking forward to learning how to be more conversant with other Atlassian products and integrating them into more farm operations.
