Inspiration

*First Source of Inspiration: * My Parents were first generation immigrants from India who came to the United States. They had no knowledge, sources of information, or guidance in general when it comes to new customs within the United States and how the country functions. They experienced various struggles and I learned from their experience that there would also be more immigrants like them. With Project CHOZEN, I was hoping that the college section for new and first generation families would be easily resolved as it would serve as a sufficient source for college guidance.

*Second Source of Inspiration: * I am extremely grateful to attend a really safe, secure, clean, and resourceful high school. I have so much fun attending high school and having access to great resources. Unfortunately, the school district next to mine struggles with lots of financial issues. Hundreds of students lack guidance when it comes to college decision making and the amount of students that commit to college in that school district decreased by 9% last year due to no college counseling or guidance. With the introduction of Project CHOZEN, I hope that students, just like those in the school district next to mine, have access to free virtual college counseling (Artificial Intelligence) and information regarding helpful resources.

What it does

Project CHOZEN is an APP which allows students to receive data regarding how much financial aid they would gain for a specific college, the predicted tuition prices for any college in the United States, and connect them to internships, scholarships, and even loaning services based on their background, income, and demographics. In addition to Project CHOZEN, it contains an AI College Counselor to help you resolve your college concerns!

What's next for Project CHOZEN

The APP would first be BETA tested for 10 months to 1 or 2 years. This would allow the backend team to overall confirm your evaluation accuracy for the Machine Learning Models, primarily the regression models and the financial aid evaluators. After the BETA testing, the APP would be published on Apple APP Store and Samsung. Advertisements would be hosted on Tiktok, Hackathon Advertisement, and companies would start to be contacted to publish ads on the APP. This would bring in scholarship and program collaborations. Future plans would include potential memberships, local schools outreach, etc
