Inspiration

Freshers/newbies are struggling when they entered in the middle of the project. So they don’t know the basic concept of the project/task and they don’t know why they are doing it? What do they have to do? And it will impact the confidence level of the freshers. So to overcome this problem I come up with the idea of creating this forge app.

What it does

By using the project assist, it will give you the learning material which is present in confluence based on the label.
And if the fresher wants to learn deeply and to ask questions about the task, they can ask the teammate by clicking the ask teammate button. And they can send the help request to the teammate. And the teammate can Accept/Reject the request.
If they accept the request, they can help that person. And they can contribute to the task.
Finally if the user finished the task, the user will get user points and the contributor will also get points for contribution. So it will encourage the contributor also to contribute more.
Based on the points, it will show the overall rank (performance evaluation). So you can claim your hike/promotion.
In the performance monitor you can check the details of your contributions, your task, your task level (if you are an assignee or reporter), send and receive requests, your points, and your rank.

How we built it

Forge app - Custom UI.
UI - bootstrap and atlas kit.
Jira cloud platform REST API - for Data.
VS code and Docker

Challenges we ran into

There is no secure level custom field in Jira. And it's only in the issue panel.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I made this App for IT professionals especially for freshers to make sure that they get the knowledge of what they are going to do in their project and why they are doing the project. And this gives them the confidence for doing their project and this is what I am being proud of.
