Inspiration
Creating a proposal or project from scratch can be a time-consuming and challenging process. Many people have great ideas but struggle to put them into sufficient words, especially if they aren't native English speakers. This inspired me to leverage AI to simplify the process, enabling individuals with innovative ideas to quickly and effectively create proposals by simply providing some key information. To take it further, I added features allowing users to post their proposals on various sponsorship portals, such as DevHub, Events, and Infrastructure. Similarly, for projects, the agent facilitates direct additions to the NEAR catalog.
What it does
The Project and Proposal Gateway Agent uses AI to streamline the creation and submission of proposals and projects. Users only need to input essential details, and the AI-powered agent generates a well-structured proposal for them. Once created, the agent can then post the proposal across different sponsorship portals or, for projects, directly on the NEAR catalog, enhancing visibility and sponsorship potential.
How I built it
I built this tool using the Bitte agent template, which comes with AI capabilities that enable it to call specific endpoints for tasks like proposal generation and project submissions. By combining Bitte’s AI-powered base with custom endpoints and integrations for different portals, I created an efficient and easy-to-use agent tailored to help users build their proposals and projects.
Challenges I ran into
A key challenge I encountered was the LLM’s handling of transactions. The AI has difficulty maintaining the integrity of the transaction, often inadvertently mutating the returned data. This is still an issue, but I am working closely with the Bitte development team to find a solution, aiming for improved reliability and consistency in future versions.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud to have created a tool that makes it significantly easier for non-native English speakers or those less experienced in formal proposal writing to submit proposals for sponsorship. By simply inputting an idea, users can produce comprehensive proposals or project entries that have a professional tone and structure, increasing their chances of receiving support.
What I learned
Through this project, I learned how to leverage Wordware’s powerful capabilities to create endpoints by simply providing variables and input configurations. This streamlined the development process, allowing me to quickly set up custom API endpoints tailored to the proposal and project generation needs. Additionally, I gained insight into integrating AI functionality in a way that balances user inputs with generated content, making the process more intuitive and accessible.
What's next for Project and Proposal Gateway Agent
Looking ahead, I plan to expand the agent’s capabilities by adding support for more sponsorship portals, including Potluck and Build DAO. Additionally, I aim to enable the agent to assist users by listing available Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from sources like the Infrastructure Committee and AI-PGF, giving users better opportunities to align their projects with relevant sponsorships. This enhancement will help users refine their proposals, increase the likelihood of securing funding, and provide broader support for bringing innovative ideas to life.
