BlendIn

Inspiration

Sometimes you get bored. And we like boba and interaction.

What it does

BlendIn will help you find your place to go. It will mix your hobbies into a drink, search on the events on campus and in town, and recommend the events that you might be interested in. If no events match your interests, BlendIn will show you related clubs on campus.

How we built it

We made a backend, containing a database of William and Mary clubs and code that pulls current events from on campus and in town, and a fonter, containing categories of hobbies and art design, and blended them into one website.

Challenges we ran into

We are all beginners either with zero coding experience or currently taking the course intro to programming. This made the debugging process hard and slow for us, and we couldn't perfect the project as we imagined on time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud of our patience and effort, the creative idea, the beautiful art design and the pragmatic functions.

What we learned

We learned that AI can't replace coding and thinking for us just yet. Knowledge is only the most useful and efficient when we have them in our own minds.
