Inspiration

We have built manafe app to enable everyone in Hajj to trade with Allah by helping others during Hajj. This is done by using built-in services or creating new services just in 3 simple steps; bot, action, and response; selecting from built-in tools that enable both sides, the user and the service provider either an individual, company or the organizer to actively interact in real-time.

What it does

We have built a ready service that enables Hajj practitioners who have no smartphones to actively interact and inform relatives, Hajj group, and the organizer by any dangerous health case just by carrying a QR code to be scanned when the urgency occurred using any smartphone even if it does not belong to the QR code holder. Another service that we have built in is to encourage anyone to pin his location and provide free food, water, and accommodation to Hajj practitioners who can later select this service then the app helps them to get to these locations and communicate. These two services along with other services that help Hajj practitioners are built-in and could be customized and created by users to users using our dead simple 3-steps engine.

How we built it

First, we analyzed the problems and solutions that could be delivered through a real-time experience then based on that we built a powerful 3-steps user engine that let anyone configure a bot then select an action like sending messages or push notifications then selecting a response like a text, image, map location or interactive AR video. After that, we built the backend using NodeJS, BackendJS (our opensource javascript framework https://github.com/QuaNode/backendjs), free Behaviors BaaS (http://quanode.com) and MongoDB NO-SQL to enable big-data for communications. After that, we built the full UX for the app and engineered the mobile code.

Challenges we ran into

UX challenge to provide such services inside a chat and bot experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We solved the above challenge by merging the micro-moments user experience with real-time experience inside the most trendy chat experience like iMessages. Also, we modeled 3-steps UX to provide anyone with the capability to unleash his creativity and innovation to add and offer his own solutions.

What we learned

Enabling others to create, innovate and help is a very strong thing for humanity but the biggest question is how this could be done. Innovation through the years has been driven very much in the world of bits, but not in the world of atoms. This is because the world of bits has much fewer barriers to entry, than the world of atoms, in fact, the world of bits has only one barrier to creating great solutions that solve world problems - code. Learning how to code takes time, it goes against the common cognitive biases that humans have, we are simply impatient and short-term oriented. The problem is, you cannot innovate using trivial drag-and-drop tools, you still need to learn how to code - this is why we exist, to convert coding to a culture, neither through simple limited solutions nor complex tools but through well-structured UX pattern, suitable for the brain of everyone which will lead to democratize innovation.

What's next for منافع

It is going to be a marketplace not like any other marketplace but It is made for trading with Allah in the first place then trading with other users. This marketplace is not for products or normal services but it is for automation services for operations teams and marketing teams. This marketplace not just offer or sell services but it encourages providers to innovate and unleash the creativity.
