Try it (no account needed)

Open https://solar-depin-hub.github.io/ye-zaryad/ and tap Try a demo day. It loads a sample day (outages 08:00–12:00 and 16:00–20:00) and a typical home kit, and shows what runs out and what to charge first. Start over clears it. There is no login and nothing leaves your phone.

Inspiration

I woke up and didn't even know what time it was. There was no way to check. Then I walked around and drank some tea. I felt like the old people in a village, sitting on a bench with nothing to do. That's why I want to be ready for blackouts.

What it does

Charge Ahead is a small web app for people at home during blackouts. For example, someone who charges everything in a panic before the power goes off, or someone who works from home and is afraid to lose their laptop and internet.

  • You paste your outage schedule as text, or tap the hours on a timeline.
  • You add what you have: phone, power bank, laptop, router, flashlight, charging station.
  • The app simulates the next 24 hours. It tells you what will die and when, for example "Router runs out at 18:15".
  • If something will not last, you get a red warning and what to charge first. If the power is already off, it tells you that nothing can charge until the power is back, and when that is.
  • You get a simple list, "Charge power bank by 15:15", and one tap adds reminders to your phone calendar.
  • It works offline, because in a blackout the internet often goes too.

How I built it

I have been coding for about half a year. I used the Devpost Learn Skill Pack with an AI coding agent and ran all six skills in order: start, scope, PRD, spec, build, ship. I answered the interview questions, and the skills turned my answers into scope.md, prd.md and spec.md (they are in the devpost/ folder of the repo). Then the agent built the app slice by slice: React, TypeScript, Vite, a PWA service worker, 39 unit tests and 6 end-to-end tests, and auto-deploy to GitHub Pages.

What I learned

My goal was to learn how to hand my work to AI for the things it can really do. I learned that the plan matters more than the code: when my answers were clear, the agent built the right thing.

What's next

More devices, and maybe importing schedules automatically.
