We took up the Eurostar challenge to improve customer experience for people with disabilities. Currently, their experience is very lacking, required information is hard to find and getting assistance involves long wait times, stress and uncertainty.
Our solution is an Open Source framework to facilitate the implementation of accessible websites. We analysed accessibility design guidelines and focused on many disabilities that aren't obvious, such as colour blindness, dyslexia or cognitive disorders.
With this solution, Eurostar (and other companies) can improve the customer experience for disabled people, and therewith expand their market and customer retention. Equal access is also a legal requirement, and our solution helps companies fulfill that requirement.
