Outfit Assistant

Inspiration

At the beginning, we wanted to build an app which helped people with their social media posts, since everyone these days wants to be able to post nice pictures of themselves. As we worked on the app, our image shifted from solely social media posts, to basically helping the user with outfits as well as places to go to which match the aesthetic of the user.

What it does

Basically, out app takes in 4 user inputs, Description, Aesthetic, Clothes You Have, Location, and generates outfits that would suit your description in the style of your Aesthetic. Moreover, it will provide you with tips and tricks that the user can use while trying on any different outfits of the same aesthetic. Each outfit that is suggested also comes with a list of places where the user can go and click pictures that will enhance your outfit and match your style.

How we built it

We built this app with the help of the PartyRock generative AI by AWS.

Challenges we ran into

The AI did not seem to be too accurate with answering the prompts given to it. If the prompt was a little long, it would just ignore a certain part of it. Even after giving a detailed prompt, the given output did not satisfy what we actually wanted. But in the end we somehow worked around all these problems, to some extent.
